It's here! The day has come when I have to put together my post to audition for the Graphic 45 Design Team 2012! I have been on the team for two years, and you would think I'd not be nervous! I love being on this team! It's one of the best experiences I've ever had as part of a design team. Honest. I'm not just saying that! I don't want to leave! Ever!
The current team was told that starting this year, we could only apply for two years in a row. The fact that Graphic 45 is allowing Jane and me to apply for a third year, as a courtesy, is mind blowing! I am anxious and....well...
Here is my submission for the 2012 team!
This is the layout that I submitted to Spellbinders last year as my final 2011 design team contest project. I emailed them today and asked (begged) to be allowed to share it on my blog. I used all Graphic 45 papers and love how the layout turned out. It's never been shown before, but Spellbinders has given me permission to show it on my blog.
I love all the layers and textures of this project. I am very proud of it and am pleased to share it today! Below are a few close-ups.
The layout was part of an ensemble, so here is a photo of the matching card.
The next layout was one I made for Summer CHA, using An ABC Primer papers. I love the photo of my mother-in-law and think this layout displays the photo perfectly.
I wanted to share a few mini albums also, since that is something I love to make. I have made many mini albums using Graphic 45 papers. Here are two of my favorites!
I made this mini and altered box for Summer CHA. I've also done a tutorial for making it. Check my tutorials tab at the top of the blog.
I made this Le Cirque album several months ago. It's an interactive album. Lots of fun, lots of surprises, lots of tags!
Next up, altered projects. I tried to pick just one, but could not! I had too many that I loved! This first one is an altered tag that I made for Diane Schultz, Graphic 45 owner, for her last birthday. It was a labor of love for an amazing lady. (Ok, I'm just sucking up now!)
I even added a vintage light bulb, to signify Diane's "light bulb moments"!
My favorite project EVER is this printers tray. I made this for my craft space. I look at it all the time and say, "Man, I am so great I cannot stand myself!"
The next two projects are altered frames. They are those cheap, $1.99 frames you buy at the craft store! But look at them now!
I created this project to show how to alter Graphic 45 Metal Staples. It now sits on a shelf in my entry way. Love it! Love it lots!
I created this next frame for Hampton Art Stamps, Winter 2012 CHA. I hand colored and cut all those little bottles. (Olde Curiosity Shoppe stamps) My family loved this frame and were sad when I had to mail it off to CHA!
Last, but not least...cards! It was hard to pick the cards I wanted to showcase here. I've done so many! There are some I love so much. There were a few I could not show since they are for upcoming Graphic 45 Blog posts, a few use items that I cannot promote due to another design contract...so these are the cards I chose...
I know you've seen this one a few times here on the blog. But it remains one of my favorite cards, ever. I love everything about it!
I also wanted to show some things I had done with Graphic 45 stamps, Decades inks, and Copic Markers. I am pretty versatile, and wanted to remind the "voting committee" of that! {grin}
I created this card for Winter 2012 CHA, for a demo board I made.
I think this next card was created for Hampton Art Stamps, for their Summer 2011 CHA booth.
And last, this is a tag I made last winter. I ended up recreating (in a more simple style) it for all Archivers stores!
Well, that's my submission! I hope it's enough to show that I love Graphic 45 papers...and I know how to use them!
Wow it is a stunning production. I hope you make it again this year. CONGRAT....
