Bookmarks, Oh My!

I purchased the new bookmark and pinwheel die sets from Taylored Expressions and finally had a chance to use them! This is the first time in AGES that I made a project that was NOT for a design team or a challenge! I made this for my youngest son for his birthday.

Cute, right?! The boy stamp is from Greeting Farm (My Guy Ian) and the sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

I stamped the image and colored it with Copics, then cut it out and attached it to the bookmark. I actually cut three bookmarks, two from printed paper and one from heavy cardstock. Then, I glued them together to make sure that the bookmark would hold up to a lot of rough treatment. After all, it is for a 12 year old boy!

I cut a pinwheel from double-sided paper, and then attached a brad and glued it to the top of the bookmark. No fussy ribbons for this bookmark!

Here is a girl version I made for my daughter. The image is from My Favorite Things. (I made this for a RRR Challenge, and you can see the project HERE.)

Now...to make one for myself...
