Way back in 2008 I made a super coolio Halloween mini album (you can see it HERE). I have been wanting to "remake" it with Graphic 45 papers, and I FINALLY finished the new version!
Part of my plan was to show that the Graphic 45 paper collections can work together, therefore I made a fun and funky Halloween mini album using four Graphic 45 collections: Happy Haunting, Olde Curiosity Shoppe, The Magic of Oz, and Hallowe'en in Wonderland (retired). I used chipboard, acrylic, die cuts, and pre-made shapes to create a one-of-a-kind, 6x6 mini album. The album has 13 pages, the perfect number for a Halloween project! I ended up with a bright and whimsical mini that is perfect for trick-or-treat, pumpkin patch, and Halloween party photos.
The covers are made with extra-thick chipboard, which I covered with paper. I cut the Halloween house from black chipboard, then added the images to the back so they could peek out of the windows. I put one of the Happy Haunting moon stickers behind the house.
I bound the album with rings, which I tied with ribbons and trims.
Here is a looky-lou at all the pages. Fun stuff!
Inside front cover: I used Olde Curiosity Shoppe stickers to create the date. The little tags are strung out on some twine.
This is a clear acrylic page. I die cut some paper to act as a photo mat.
And a matching mat on the back. I edged the acrylic with black Staz-on ink to make it stand out a bit.
This page is a chipboard house (Cosmo Cricket). I covered the house with paper and stamps. Is it cute or what?!
I stamped the date with a Happy Haunting stamp, then embossed with white embossing powder.
The backside of the house has an envelope attached. I die cut the envelope with a Tim Holtz die. It is a nice little pocket for storing small items.
I love this paper from The Magic of Oz collection. I replaced the postage image with a stamped image from the Happy Haunting stamp set.
Do you see that I cut out one of the little ghosties? He is acting as a photo corner.
Another acrylic page.
For this page I made a "spine" out of chipboard, then attached a tag shape to it. The tag is also a pocket, holding smaller tags! I trimmed out the paper to make the pocket match the paper behind it exactly.
This is a tab-shaped page. I stamped and embossed some black cats along the bottom.
I used two of tabbed pages together to look sort of like a file folder. See the amazing G45 keyhole?!
This is another image that I love! So pretty!
I trimmed out one of the clocks.
Another acrylic page. This one is blank, but you can see the page behind it.
I cut the label shape from black chipboard, then edged it with white ink.
I adore that date stamp from the Happy Haunting set! Very cool.
And there you have it! An all Graphic 45 Halloween mini. I hope you had fun looking!
