There is something special about vintage Easter images that takes me right back to my childhood! Every Easter I got a new dress, and we had a lovely, lively Easter egg hunt on my parent's 2.5 acres! The sweet images in the Abundant Collection are like looking back to that, simpler time!

This adorable little girl reminds me of myself in many ways. I once had a cute, blue dress for Easter, and I also used to line up all my dolls and stuffed animals and "teach" them things. (Not to sing, because I have never had much of a singing ability!)

I think I was about 2 or three in this photo, I think this was about 1967 or 1968. I wonder how long those socks stayed white! {grin} 

I started out wanting to create a long, slim card and ended up with one that could be a table decor piece, a card, a gift, and a scrapbook page! 

Inside the card there is space for a gift card and two square photos.

To make this card, cut chocolate brown cardstock to 7 3/4" x 9 1/4" and score at 3 7/8" to make a 3 7/8" x 9 1/4" horizontal, skinny card. Cut Abundant Three paper to 3 3/4" x 9 1/8" and attach it to the front of the card. Wrap a length of scalloped brown dot ribbon around the center of the front panel and attach at the back.

Trim Abundant Five paper (the egg "dots") to 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" and mat with brown cardstock cut to 3 7/8" x 3 7/8". Attach this panel approximately 1 1/4" from the left edge. Add the "Easter Blessings" punch out to the bottom of this small panel with foam adhesive.

Trim the image from Abundant Six paper and mat with brown cardstock cut slightly larger. Attach the image to the center of the front panel, with approximately 1" of the image going beyond the top of the card, as shown.

Attach the "Happy Easter" shaped punch out to the upper right of the main image using foam adhesive. (Feel free to edge your papers and other elements with brown ink.)

Tie a loopy bow with brown dot sheer ribbon and glue to the card as shown. Make another loopy bow with some blue and white striped twine and attach to the bottom edge of the sheer bow. Tie some twine to a button and glue the button to the top of both bows, as shown.

For the inside of the card, trim two pieces of Abundant Three (plaid) paper to 3 3/4" x 9 1/8" and attach bot pieces to the inside top and bottom of the card. 

For the top panel, trim ivory cardstock to 3" x 3" and mat with brown cardstock cut to 3 1/8" x 3 1/8" and attach to the left side of the panel. Use foam adhesive to attach the bunny circle punch out to the upper left corner. Punch out the rabbit banner from the Abundant 12x12 Die Cut Elements and attach it to the upper right corner of the panel.

Use a gift card pocket die template to cut a pocket from Abundant Five (basket weave) paper and attach the pocket to the lower left corner of the lower panel. Attach the "Happy Easter" punch out to the pocket with foam adhesive, as shown.

For the lower panel, trim ivory cardstock to 3" x 3" and mat with brown cardstock cut to 3 1/8" x 3 1/8" and attach to the right side of the panel. Use foam adhesive to attach the carrot punch out to the upper right corner.

If you wish to mail your card, you will need to find an envelope or mailer that measures 5 1/4" x 9 1/2".
