Power Poppy Christmas Remix Hop - Day 7

Welcome to Day 7 of the Power Poppy Christmas Remix Hop! If you missed any of the previous days, please visit the Power Poppy Blog! I am not participating in every day of the release, so make sure you go take a look at what the rest of the girls are doing with all these fantastic images!
The stamps sets that we are showcasing today are Berry Sweet Holiday clear set, Merriest Berries digital set, and Wreath: Felt Leaves and Fruits digital set.

I chose the Merriest Berries digital set, plus a sentiment from the Forest Finds digital set. I used Photoshop Elements to combine the image with the sentiment, then printed it onto Hammermill 100# Digital Color Copy cardstock at 5 5 3/4" x 4 1/2" to make a 6" x 4 3/4" card. I have some envelopes to fit this size card, plus I can make some matching envelops with the We R Memory Keepers envelop board!
I am starting to get the hang of this clean and simple style! But, it still feels strange to not have 14 different printed papers going on! I made a black card base, then added a piece of silver glitter cardstock. I cut out the image with a stitched die, and ta da! Finished!
I was searching for a color scheme for my image because I did not want to color it the same old red/white/green, that I always do. But, it seemed that all the great combos had already been done by other colorists. Long story short, as I was looking on Pinterest for an idea, I saw some lovely colorings of peacocks (why was I looking at those?!). I had an "ah-ha moment." I decided to color my image with peacock blue and green, with gold and silver! (My son said it looks like yellow and gray, but what does he know?!)

I colored with Copic markers, and added a bit of Prismacolor pencils for shading. I like how it turned out. It is such a different color scheme than I would normally use!
I can see coloring up a batch of these to mail out for Christmas!

Thanks for looking! Now, hop on to the other designers to see what they made!
