Power Poppy Christmas Release - Day 3

Welcome to DAY 3 of the Power Poppy 2020 Christmas stamp release! Make sure you visit the Power Poppy Blog for ALL the details!

The set we are showcasing today is called Garden of Gratitude.
This set is one of my favorites of the release! I adore those boots! So fun to color! I cannot wait to color them again! I have already printed out the digital version of the tree (Trellis digital set) to color for another day! I just love the whimsy of Marcella's designs!
I once again created a 7" x 5" top-folding card to showcase the digital version (Boot Bouquet) of this image. The image is printed at approximately 5" tall.

The sentiment is from Mossy Pots with Paperwhites which we revealed on Friday..
I decided to go crazy with the Copic reds for this image! I wanted the boots to have an almost velvet look to them. I would like to try for shiny boots next time!

Who else wants a pair of red polka dot wellies?! I know I do!
How about those lovely flowers?! Poinsettia, Amaryllis, Hellebore, Holly, and Winterberry! (And I just learned that Winterberry is just another name for type of American and Canadian holly!)

I had fun coloring the image with Copic markers. I did add a tiny bit of colored pencil and gel pen. The polka dots on the boots are made with a gel pen.
I added some green distress inks to the background, then glued on a few sequins.

I used a few prints from Athentique Papers Christmas lines (but I did not remember to write down which collections).

Run on over to the Power Poppy Blog to see all the projects from this wonderful release. I have also linked the other  Bloomies below! Check out all the Christmas eye candy!

  4. Okay, stop the presses! This is the most fun and beautiful pair of boots full of flowers EVER! Your amaryllis is amazing, too, and I love how you use paper. You're a girl after my own heart when it comes to paper. Gloria, I just wanted to stop and say how I've enjoyed all your cards for this release, and really just all your Power Poppy cards in general. You're a feather in Marcy's cap!
