A Little Birdie Told Me

Hello, friends! I am here with another project for the Annette Green/Elizabeth Craft Designs Everything's Blooming Collection from the Everyday Elements line of stamps and diesThe release contains three stamp sets and ten die sets! Everything is coordinated to work together, plus they can work with any of the other ECD dies and stamps, too!

Els with Elizabeth Craft Designs showed everything in Monday's Facebook Live on the ECD page at 2 p.m. EST, then Annette shared on the FB Live on Wednesday (3/29). If you go to their FB page you can see some sneak peeks! I will be sharing a few projects over the next week or so!

I decided to jump out of my normal comfort zone for this one. I don't do very much paper piecing any more, but this birdie (2023 Layered Birds) and flowers just were too cute to ignore! I had a lot of fun fiddling around with the dies, inks, and papers. I am not sure I will do much of this type of thing, but once in a while....it is fun to just PLAY!

My base is a Graphic 45 square tag with paper cut to fit. (Authentique Dreamy Collection) I love to make big tags to tie onto a gift or a gift bag. It just adds that special oomph to gift giving.
I die cut a doily from the 2018 Small Doilies set, and several of the flowers and leaves from 2025 Playful Flowers and 2027 Stemmed Flowers. I had water colored some flowers already and had a few left from a different project, plus I cut more from the printed paper. I wanted to match my flowers to the bird so that he was sort of hiding in the scenery. {smile}

I am not going to lie, I needed my tweezers and a bright light to fuss with those tiny bird feet and the eyeball. But in the end it all came together just the way I wanted!
I hand some fun assembling and inking until I had what I wanted. Then I die cut the "for you" from the 2020 Everyday Words set and added it, but...I see in the photos that the silly thing is crooked! I hate when that happens! I already mailed the project to Annette, so....ah well.

I had some taupe wrinkle ribbon that was perfect for this color palette. Note: I am not only on a mission to use up my vast paper collection, but also try to use my up some ribbon! I just have so much, even after TWO major purges in less than two years!
Fun tip: I used some of the leftover birdie parts to create flower centers for my flowers! No need to try to cut tiny circles and half circles...they were already on the table when I die cut all the birds!

What would YOU make with these birds and flowers? Let me know in the comments!

Note: There are lots of stores carrying (or going to be carrying) these products. I just found them for you on Scrapbook.com, but shop where you like to shop for Elizabeth Craft Designs products the most!
